Project: Planning permission for TWO x 3-BEDROOM HOUSES

This site is located within the setting of a grade 2 listed building and within the South Downs National Park adjacent to the busy Eastbourne Road. The site had previously been used as garden land and comprised a variety of small disused outbuildings.

Brighton Planning worked closely with the architects and applicants of the scheme to prepare an application that sought planning permission for two large traditional family dwellings with associated parking on the site. A landscaping scheme was prepared by the architects to ensure that the mature landscaping and existing trees were maintained, whilst we prepared a full heritage statement which set out how the proposed designs conserved the setting of the nearby listed building and used traditional materials such as flint and red clay tiles that would fit in with the appearance of the surrounding area.

Following planning consent for the scheme, Brighton Planning continued to work with the architect and applicants to gain consent for the discharge of planning conditions that related to the construction management plan, eco services statement and material schedules.
